Alians is a Polish punk band hailing from the city of Pila. Their music is a mix of punk and ska. Alians’ sound is original in that the band uses instrument so untypical of punk as accordion. Tomasz “Korabol” Kułak, the bandmember who plays the accordion, is famous for his frenetic activities and his practice of wearing a kilt during concerts. The band’s lively concerts won them much popularity; however, beyond the independent scene the band has remained unknown. |The lyrics are written by Rafal “Kazi” Kasprzak, privately a Polish literature teacher, and have radical political message. The titles of albums (“Gavroche”, “Cala anarchia mieści się w uliczniku” (“Anarchy is embodied in an urchin”), “Równe prawa” (“Equal Rights”)) are indicative of the band’s attachment to the ideology of anarchism.
