Andy Hunter° is tagged as: electronic, trance, techno, electronica, christian Andy Hunter° is a British DJ and composer, encompassing a wide range of styles within the genre of electronica, including progressive breaks, trance, downtempo and ambient. Born in the Midlands of England in 1974, Hunter° discovered an interest for sound engineering during his teens. Following his aspiration, he left school and began to work for bands such as Suede and The Wonder Stuff. In 1992, he joined New Generation Music and Mission as a travelling engineer and moved to Bristol – the scene that was breaking drum and bass. After honing his skills as a DJ at various nightclubs, Hunter° joined forces with Robbie Bronnimann and Ray Goudie of Hydro around the time of their second album, Aborigination, further developing his production skills. Following this, he would also form a band named Trip with Martin King, and made a release in 1999 with the album Cultural Shif. The same year, Hunter° split with Hydro and moved to Swansea, Wales to focus on solo projects. While continuing his work as a DJ around Swansea, Andy Hunter° set out to form his first solo album in 2000.
