The band members consist of four famous Korean artists; singer BoA, 동방신기 band member 시아준수 (XIAH junsu), Epik High band leader/member 타블로 (TABLO) and pianist 진보라 (Jin Bora) In early November the band held a showcase and released a music drama/video entitled AnyBand. It starred all four members whom played the roles of revolutionist(s). Unlike any of AnyCall’s previous music dramas/videos it did not star 이효리 (Hyori Lee), who was known to be the main face of AnyCall. 이효리 starred and provided vocals in the previous three Any**** music drama/video series, with her absence in the latest of the Any**** series this sparked rumors that BoA was to take her place as the main face of AnyCall. Not only this, the music drama/video AnyBand was unlike its predecessors, it had no dance routine, two songs featured in the music drama/video and was of a sci-fi genre. Although the lack of similarity between AnyBand and the previous videos, AnyBand still turned out to be a success. Following the showcase and release of the music drama/video a digital single Anyband 애니밴드 (which consisted of 4 tracks including the two songs featured in the promotional video: TPL (Talk, Play, Love) and Promise U). Both songs hit #1 within days of release on internet music charts. A concert was held at Central City, Millennium Hall in Seoul on the 27 November with special guests Epik High and 동방신기 where the 5th hidden track of Anyband 애니밴드 was revealed it was entitled Daydream. |
