The band came together in 1998 in Rīga, Latvia when former schoolmates Marts Kristiāns Kalniņš and Emīls Zilberts decided to implement long-cherished dream and founded a band whose repertoire consists mainly of Imants Kalniņš music - both popular songs from various stages of composer and compositions specifically for this instrumentation. Autobuss Debesīs actively concerts throughout Latvia, the band has participated in various large-scale festivals and major nationally events. It has performed several times outside the Latvian border - Finland, Germany and the United States.
