2003 saw Averi’s first headline appearance at the Paradise Rock Club. Since then, Averi has played several sold out shows a year at the Paradise. Over the next 2 years, Averi supported bands such as Gavin DeGraw, Guster, Hanson, Barenaked Ladies and the Goo Goo Dolls. The end of 2003 saw the addition of external management and a booking agency. The band’s second LP, Drawn To Revolving Doors, was recorded over the autumn and winter of 2004 and was produced by Scott Riebling. The sound of the record was more rock then Direction of Motion, and the distinctive writing style of Perrone was evident. Sold out shows in Boston, New York, Portland, Providence and Manchester followed the release of the album. Constant touring followed through the summer and into the fall of 2005. In October of 2005, the band announced a headlining show at Avalon Club in Boston which occurred on November 12, 2005. This was Chad Perrone’s final performance with the band, and a few weeks later his departure was announced to the public. A few weeks following the announcement, Mike Golarz was named the new lead singer of Averi. Touring began again in early 2006, and many of the popular earlier tunes continued to be played to this day. The band announced in the spring of 2006 that a new record is in the works with Scott Riebling producing. Songs will be written by all members. * Mike Golarz — lead vocals, guitar|* Michael Currier — saxophone, vocals, tamborine|* Stuart Berk — lead guitar|* Chris Tilden — bass|* Matt Lydon — drums |
