Avey Tare & Kría Brekkan biography

Avey Tare and Kría Brekkan are Avey Tare (a.k.a. David Portner) of Animal Collective and his wife, Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttir, formerly of múm. The two began recording together in 2007 in New York City. Kristín also made a guest appearance on the Animal Collective album Feels, for which she was credited as Doctess. They live together in New York City and are known to perform together from time to time, delivering intimate acoustic sessions.
