Bonnie McKee, born in Vacaville, California, is a singer-songwriter signed to Reprise Records. Her first major label album, Trouble, was released on September 7, 2004. Accomplished rock music columnist Jaan Uhelszki has said that McKee “elevates post-teen rebellion and broken romance to high art”. Bonnie wrote on her official myspace blog that she was finally let go of her label, “August came, and I finally got the phone call that warner was letting me go” feeling happy about her departure she soon started recording new music and eventually got a role in the film August Rush co-starring Keri Russel. In February 2008 she was a guest on the radio show TSM Radio where she sang a new song called “To Find You”, and stated that she’s writing new material. A recent post on her blog stated that she is getting ready to release her first single “Thunder” which was written and produced with Ted Bruner who has written and produced songs for Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus.
