In December 2002 Wawrzyniec Wawa Dabrowski, a guitar player, composer and vocalist left his reggaerock band called Filip z Konopi (FzK.) There were some complaints about his decision since FzK was pretty known band in Warsaw at that time. Anyway, Wawa didn’t like the band’s mood during rehearsals so he quit. Straight after that he started to search for musicians to his new project which musical character was meant to be related somehow to FzKs. |First musicians Wawa asked to jam together was Rafal, an old friend, bass player with whom Wawa played in high school band called Corduroy, and Krzysiek a.k.a Dzulius, a brilliant guitarist from their fellowship who played with Rafal occasionally. |After rehearsing for some time with different drummers in Alternatiff club (drug and alcohol free youth club placed in Chomiczowka, Warsaw) the band decided that Szymon, FzK’s former drummer and also Krzysiek’s neighbour, will stay as the fourth member of the band. In the autumn 2003 the Bramafan went on stage playing gigs together with many great bands of that time like Magara, Neony and Koniec Swiata. In 2004 Bramafan recorded seven original songs which were released on their first demo CD. Soon they became a well known band in Warsaw. In late 2005 guys went out to Denmark to play two gigs in Aarhus and record their second demo CD Aarhus Session - released few months later in 68 copies. |Until now Bramafan played more than 50 gigs across the country and hungers for more! 2007 is the year which brings Bramafan first official record… |
