With hopes of reviving the music industry, the multi-talented R&B sensation, Brandon Hines, is fully equipped to tackle the entertainment industry. With his undeniable talent, incredible voice and songwriting ability, he is someone that the world will know soon. Music has been the central theme in Brandon’s life for as long as he can remember and now, 14 years later, this multi-talented singer, songwriter, and arranger seeks to fulfill his childhood dreams and ambitions. Born and raised in the heart of Detroit, MI, family roots were important to Brandon as he recalls growing up in a household that encouraged him to follow his heart and never look away from his dreams. Ultimately, Brandon’s biggest inspiration is his younger brother who is also musically inclined… Brandon’s love for music deepened and further developed as the years passed. At 13, he was a member of a well-known break-dance group titled “The Bachalaz”. The group started out competing at clubs and went on to win many talent shows. At 17 years of age, Brandon was apart of the 180 artist selected to compete in LA in the 2003 American Idol competition. Although he was not a finalist in the competition, he was determined to breakthrough the entertainment industry. Shortly after he returned home to Detroit, he joined the 3 man R&B group, Vybe. Produced by the highly established Michael Powell (Anita Baker, Tyrese, etc.), the group’s single, “Tonite”, swept Detroit with outstanding airplay that Kidaar Massenberg of Universal Motown could not ignore. Although things did not work out for the group, it was a blessing in disguise because Brandon realized that his talent could stand alone. The highlight of Brandon’s college career was the decision to team up with Heavyweight Ent., a group of multi-talented producers, writers, and engineers at Howard University. Taking the campus by storm within a weekend’s time, Brandon’s first single, “Overdose”, could constantly be heard at all campus events and several DC clubs. Currently, Brandon and Heavyweight Ent. are promoting his debut solo album entitled “Love Music: Falling In…Falling Out”. With mind-blowing lyrics, insane harmonies, and beats that rattle the soul, the album is sure to be an instant success not only on Howard’s campus, but eventually worldwide. Brandon is destined to succeed in all his endeavors. His intelligence coupled wit his experience proves that he is ready to capture the entertainment industry. Simply put, he’s got next! |
