Burhan G is a Danish R&B singer who has released two albums to critical acclaim and hit status. Born in Brøndby Strand, Denmark, on June 20th, 1983, he is of Turkish background and grew up singing in a Copenhagen choir. His pop career took off after he sang background vocals for Danish hip hop act Outlandish and other Danish artists.
In 2003 he released his debut single, Burhan G, and the following year his debut album, Playground. He won the Best New Act award at the Danish Music Awards. In addition to various guest performances he cut the track Live Ur Life for the Fidibus movie soundtrack before releasing his second album, 2007’s Breakout, preceded by lead single Who Is He. Both albums featured Burhan’s primary production partners, Maximum Risk.
In the summer of 2008, Burhan G released a new single, Kun Dig, his first in Danish, to be followed by a full album in Danish. More details at official site www.burhang.com. |
