There is more than one artist under this name:
1. Bus Stop, a fun, rock’n’roll band from North Carolina, started life under the alias of Straight Ahead, formed from the ashes of various late ’80s bands from across the area, including Pots and Pans and Majosha - both bands that helped start the career of piano rocker, Ben Folds. The line-up was lead vocalist - Evan Olson (of LUBE, Majosha and also his own successful solo career), lead guitarist and secondary vocalist - Britt “Snuzz” Uzzell (of Pots and Pans, as well as various other former bands and his own career), drummer - Eddie Walker (Majosha) and bassist - Chuck Folds (RubberBand, Chuck Folds Five, and Big Bang Boom). The band were responsible for 4 albums (No Parking, A Little Faster, Miracle Time and Bus Stop), 2 cassettes (one as Straight Ahead, the other as Bus Stop) and a Japanese compilation CD (Ball and Chain). They played thousands of shows in their career. In 1999, Evan Olson left Bus Stop to record solo albums (Olson, One Room, Red, Club Evos, Audio and Take the World) and later formed party band LUBE. Snuzz continued to play, often with Eddie and Chuck, and released four albums (Snuzz, Harper, One Piece Band and Big Potatoes). He also formed a band with NC-based song writers Django Haskins and Robert Sledge, as well as drummer Jason Fagg, called International Orange and released one EP - Spoon Box - before the band went its seperate ways. Eddie plays in coverband Walrus and Chuck plays in several cover bands, including RubberBand and Chuck Folds Five (the title being a parody of his brother, Ben’s, old band). Chuck and Eddie are now part of Big Bang Boom together.
2. Bus Stop are a British male production dance group who reached #8 in 1998 with their single Kung Fu Fighting, which samples lyrics sung by Carl Douglas who originally had a UK #1 hit with the song in 1974. The group also covered Jump, originally by Van Halen, which reached #22 in the UK in 1999. They seemed to have disappeared by 2001 but Daz Sampson, a member of the group made a comeback with his song entitled Teenage Life. Their hit single Kick the Can, has also received wide acclaim by Dance Dance Revolution fans everywhere.
