He is currently highly recognised in the trance community for his tech-trance style music. However, he has produced several techno-style and hard house tracks under various guises. His career took off back in 1996 when he, along with Laurent David & TC Process, produced the hit anthem ‘Y-Traxx - Mystery Land’. This track received a large amount of play time from Paul Oakenfold in some of the biggest clubs including Amnesia and Space. The track was also featured on more that 15 major compilations that year. In 1997, he released another huge anthem, ‘Groovezone - Eisbaer’ which was played by top DJ’s such as Seb Fontaine, Judge Jules and Pete Tong. Eisbaer was signed in 24 countries and sold over 300,000 copies. Fred Baker has become a big name in the electronic music scene and has had tracks signed with Magik Muzik (label of Tiësto), Vandit (label of Paul van Dyk) and Armada (label of Armin van Buuren). He has also had the recent record, Forever Friends released on his own label, Bakerstreet Records.
