Cherbourg emerged in 2008 from the London folk scene with an original sound, generated through a common respect and desire to embrace as many of each other’s varying musical influences as possible.
Originally called ‘Davie Fiddle and the Lucky Egg’ they consist of Andrew Davie (guitar, vocals), Phil Fiddle (fiddle, mandolin, guitar, piano, vocals), Kevin Jones (bass, vocals) and Chris Maas (drums, vocals). The band delivers four part vocal harmonies, epic beats and soaring melodies.
“Last Chapter of Dreaming” (EP), the first Cherbourg record, was released February 2nd 2009 on Chess Club Records. “Into The Dark” (EP) is their follow up and is released through Chess Club Records on 1st June.
