Christopher Chrishan Dotson was born October 21st, 1989 in Toledo, Ohio on the very same day of his father, Chris Dotson. Concieved into this incredible musical family which consists of the legendary soul vocal group, “The Dotsons”, (lead singer) Chris Dotson Inc., Tim Dotson, Jay Rush, and Chester “Lyfe Jennings” Dotson, he was destined for success. Chrishan grew up inspired by his environment and eventually began singing at age 2, writing songs at age 4, and sampling beats off the radio at age 7. He continued to sing, write and perform. Now a producer, Chrishan says, “One day, when i was about 9 or 10, I asked my dad if i could get on the keyboard. He told me to wait and that he’d set it up for me. I told him I could do it on my own. He put me to the test and then couldn’t believe that I had everything up and running, perfectly, without a manual.” Today he operates his own studio, Mix Lab Studios.
