The story behind “Cileos”: ‘A deep string’, so the young girl thought, and did one more penstroke, ‘…coming in here, slowly. And there should be a flute for the melody…’|Then, with a sigh, she dropped the pen. The melody was gone. It had just been there, rushing up and down her mind, while she had been walking home, imagining some random tunes for passing the time… it was always the same. As soon she tried to hold it, it faded away. How was this possible? Why did it sound good while she was singing it, but bad when put into notes? Many years later that girl, having solved this early musical riddle, would call herself a passionate lover of sound, especially the clear, rhythmic basslines and synths of Uplifting Trance, and the impressive melodies of New Age, soundtracks and instrumental music. Following a style that was mainly influenced by upcoming producers from Germany, Sophie Lichtenstein, who was born in Berlin in 1990, creates her music today behind names like “Cileos”, “Cyanis’ Cry” and “La Hija Ciana”, using a program called “Fruity Loops”. Furthermore she spends her freetime playing piano, drawing and writing.
