In 2007, he created the Get The Curse collective and launchedwww.getthecurse.com, a website which soon becomes a European touchstone with podcasts and selections at the vanguard of electronic music. In a flash, eponymous club nights emerge in Paris at Flèche d’Or and Nouveau Casino. From 2008 on, Get The Curse settled finally at the Social Club for its residency. Under Clément’s leadership, those nights gave rise to a new electronic order in Parisian nightlife. He developed his own vision of the dancefloor: a blend of tense hypnosis and mental intoxication. For obvious reasons, he teams up with Danton Eeprom for the Baise-Main residency at London’s legendary T-Bar. 2009 is the year of his first steps as a producer. His debut was released on Seinan, signed a remix on Fool House and all his tracks shone with his distinctive groove and strong attitude. Yet it was with the launch of the record label “Get The Curse Music” in the beginning of 2010 and his ‘A Bucket of Blood’ EP that he made such a strong|impression. An impressive array of DJs such as Ivan Smagghe (“Mr Meyer, new star…”), Simian Mobile Disco (“Seriously amazing stuff”), Andrew Weatherall (“Best techno tracks I’ve heard this year”), Damian Lazarus (“It’s gonna be big!”),Paul Woolford, Tobi Neumann and Carl Cox are jumping on the Meyer bandwagon; eager to get their hands on the latest tracks in his individual, signature style. Clement Meyer instantly became one of the rising stars of the French scene. Throughout the year, his releases on Rekluse, Octobus, Abracada|as well as remixes for Aswefall, Photonz and Matt Walsh attracted attention. The coming year is set to be even more explosive, with a heavily anticipated EP on Kill The DJ, a remix for oldtimers Underworld and a collaboration with Le Loup, Paris’ other emerging talent. “Best emerging talent of the French electronic scene” says magazine A NOUS PARIS” ?
