Cold Mailman is Ivar, Martin Bowitz, Stian H fra Skivika, Torbjørn Hafnor, Catharina Sletner and Thomas Hanssen, and sometimes (when time, space and logistics are on our side) Martin Larsen.
Influences often mentioned include the obvious The Whitest Boy Alive, Kings of Convenience, Sonic Youth, Motorpsycho, Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake, and the more esoteric Tool, Air, King Crimson, Radiohead, The Spectacle and many more. Though most of Cold Mailman’s early music was based around the acoustic guitar, the band now experiments with different arrangements and instrumentations.
The debut album «How to escape cause and effect» was released in 2008, and in october 2010 «Relax; the mountain will come to you» was released. |
