About Colton Berry|Colton Berry is an 19-year-old graduate of Wilson Memorial High School in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and has been performing since he was a small child. Music and theatre have shaped his life ever since. He began working with a local community theatre group, ShenanArts, as a fifth-grader and has since appeared in shows like “Wind in the Willows” (Toad), “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” (Aslan), “Sing Down the Moon” (Jack), “The Wiz” (Scarecrow), “Jesus Christ Superstar” (Jesus & Judas u/s), “Beauty and the Beast” (Lumiere), “Les Miserables” (Valjean), “Into the Woods” (Wolf), “Aida” (Radames), “Chicago” (Mary Sunshine/ Fred Casely), “Jekyll and Hyde” (Jekyll/ Hyde). He has also worked with another local theatre group, Waynesboro Players, and appeared in their last two musicals; “Big River” (Huck) and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” (Hero). Colton began directing and designing productions with his production company, Front Row Center Productions, in the seventh grade. He has directed shows such as “Wonderful Wizard of Oz” and “Little Shop of Horrors” as well as many musicals for ShenanArts. Besides theatre, Colton is extremely active in the world of music and performs solo around his community. He competed in “Showtime! At the Apollo On Tour!” and has also had the opportunity to travel to France as a soloist with the French-American Gospel Music Workshop Exchange. Recently Colton auditioned for the famed television show, “American Idol” where he became one of the Top 24 contestants. He left the show as number 21 out of hundreds of thousands who auditioned. He has since began performing with his band, making appearances at schools and events, and auditioning for theatre all around the country.
