COUNT THE HOURS formed around the idea of the hope of escape from an all but dead-end navy town: Bremerton, Washington, a city tucked away within the Pacific Northwest. While only a short ferry ride from the opportunities Seattle offers, Bremerton is a veritable breeding ground for military and government employment. COUNT THE HOURS was just an idea in the head of singer Anthony Hale in the summer of 2004. Though riddled with lineup changes over the next two years, COUNT THE HOURS has managed to develop and hold a strong bond between all of the current members, including singer Anthony Hale, guitar players Sean Millsap and Jacob Dahlgren, drummer Brandon Herrell, and bassist Spencer Pollard. The band’s lyrics are a diverse and expansive exploration of human feeling and thought. Touching on feelings of comradery, hopelessness, anger, and basically anything else a person ever feels. The music is very much a reflection of the personalities of the people making it and their respective moods at the time of songwriting, so the sounds produced within different compositions vary greatly, with the band’s hope of providing a proper backdrop for the|feeling or idea expressed by the lyrics. Watch for COUNT THE HOURS to continue building a name for themselves in the Pacific Northwest and beyond in the wake of their debut for Panic Records, We Don’t Care. -Panic Records| |
