Day26 is an American R&B/Soul group signed to Atlantic Records. Formed on the fourth installment of MTV’s Making The Band, the quartet consists of Brian “Angel” Andrews, Mike McCluney, Robert Curry, and Willie Taylor. Qwanell Mosley was a former member of the group. The boys are still featured on Making The Band 4 with Danity Kane and Donnie Klang. The current season shows all the acts prepare and execute their Making the Band Tour. Day26’s first single was “Got Me Going” produced by Mario Winans, released to iTunes on January 29, 2008. The self-titled Day26 debut album was released March 11, 2008 and went number one. Shortly thereafter, the guys released their second single “Since You’ve Been Gone”. The video for “Since You’re Been Gone” premiered June 27, 2008, and the single has so far made some progress on the U.S. Billboard Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart where it debuted at number 4 and the following week continued to number 1. In 2008, Day26 was nominated for the BET Award for Best Group and for a Teen Choice Award for Best Breakout Group. Since then the guys have also ventured out and branched out there business skills in the bizz. Brian has annouced the release of his own record label called Ambassador Way Ent. Located in Houston, TX. and has artists already signed to the label. A local artist named Corey Franks works at the label and is in the works to put them in the future!! |
