The band’s sound is notoriously difficult to classify, with elements of grunge, progressive/psychedelic-rock and trip-hop, the latter of which have become more predominant in Jan Coo’s later work. Yermakova’s harsh, androgynous vocals are a defining element throughout. Themes of alienation, frustration with society, and spiritual development predominate in the lyrics.
