Makarevich graduated from Moscow Institute of Architecture as a graphics artist. Since 1969, when he cofounded the rock group Mashina Vremeni, he authored most of its music and lyrics. Makarevich also released 8 solo albums, participated in regular TV shows and assisted other groups and artists. He authored several poetry collections and two volumes of memoirs.| |
