Punk’n‘roll band from city Ostrava in Czech republic. Current lineup is Sendy (vocals, lead guitar), Rudee (bass guitar, vocals), Tommy Heroin (guitar, vocals) and Mishel (drums). Their music blend punk, rock’n’roll, blues, rockabilly and other similar genres. They sound like un-Czech group, they are heavily influenced by Ramones, Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers, American rock’n‘roll legends and it sounds like modern The Clash. They are known for excellent and interesting lyrics and punkrock coxcombs image. |Band started in 1999 with name 4 Chlupy z dupy, later tey changed their name on NaNervy („On Nerves“ in free translate). Sidney, Rudee and singer Zvíře (Beast) with drummer Herák (Smack) recorded few songs. First took place in November´99 in city Havířov. After several personal changes they changed their name again on Degradace (Degradation) and they recorded demo with 12 songs and in 2003 first album Punk’n’Roll is released. Early production of Degradace was rather Oi! punk, but elements of rock’n’roll could be very well seen. They went on minitour in Poland with Skampararas, in Prague they supported concert of GBH. After show on PunkAID festival in 2004 drummer Herák left on health grounds. For band, it was a big blow, they had to cancel several gigs. With drummer Standa from band Naarden they recorded split album with group Proti směru (Upstream) in 2005. On split with Oi! band, paradoxically, they radically changed style on punk’n’roll, they recorded 7 songs including well knowns songs like „No Image No Style“, „Bye Bye Baby“ or „Heroes Are Back“. |In 2007 left guitarist Luky and new guitarist Tommy Heroin and drummer Mishel joined. In same year, they recorded first full-fledged album (because Punk’n’Roll is in bad sound quality) called My Love, My Grave. It includes 10 new songs and 2 live records of older songs. After that, they recorded cover version of Pet Sematary from Ramones on czech tribute album. In 2009, they released latest, critically acclaimed album Atomic Boogie. There are 12 songs including rock’n’roll hit „Řekni ne!“ (Say No), on which was filmed a videoclip. There is blues in song „Blues z betonové plantáže“ (Blues From Concrete Plantage), country in „3653 dní“ (3653 Days) and punkrock hits like eponymous „Atomic Boogie“ or „Barový romantik“ (Bar Romantic), psychedelic and serious slow rock song Help Me or snappy, precise aiming song Hrdinové virtuální scény (Heroes of Virtual Scene). In song Time Bomb hosts guitar magus Adam Bomb. After releasing of this album, they made czechoslovak tour and supported concert of UK Subs and The Vibrators in Olomouc. They continue to perform and they prepare material for new album. |They had few incidents with stupid foolish orthodox punks, which had beaten them on one gig in small town Morkovice. They cursed them that they are emo and they smashed singer’s head with beer bottles. Before that, singer Sidney fought up against superiority of fascist neonazi group and he was beaten up.
