The group consisted primarily of Jesper Dahl (Jokeren), Nicholas Kvaran (Coldhands) and Rasmus Berg (B). In 1986 the group Madness 4 Real is formed in Hillerød, Denmark. The members are 12 to 14 years old and in a short while find their musical style in hip hop. By the end of the 80s the group consists of Jokeren, B, Coldhands og Blæs Bukki (Lasse Baungård). Hip hop was underground in Hillerød and therefore they decided to pick up and move to Copenhagen. They peform at different venues, often at Klub 47 on Amager. Here, they got signed by manager Carsten Willer. During the years 1992-1996 the group was in Los Angeles where they worked as freelance producers for Solid Productions. Madness 4 Real has produced for such names as Eazy E, MC Ren, Rakim, Ice Cube, MC Clemens and Outlandish. They managed to have 33 tracks and 4 remixes released during their stay in the United States, where many of the records reached American gold (.5 million copies) and platinum (1 million copies).
