Douglas Romayne Stevens is an American composer. His first break in Hollywood was scoring the tale of a vampire slayer named Buffy and her Scooby-gang. Following graduation from the USC film scoring program, Stevens worked as an assistant to composer Christophe Beck. When Joss Whedon wrote “Once More, With Feeling” he brought Chris back to the show as the music director. During the musical, Douglas got to know Joss and when he needed to hire a composer next fall, Chris generously recommended Douglas, scoring Season 7 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Season 5 of ANGEL. |
