With tremendous support from his former boss, he taught himself to play piano and took off to the French countryside to write. After a short partnership with Phatline Publishing in London, D’Farley landed in New York City and continued to compose. James Larsen of International Creative Management put D’Farley in touch with soul singer Maya Azucena. Drawing from musical and personal experience,|DREEMTIME’S first album, Dreamy, recorded in Takuya Nakamura’s Brooklyn studio. In January 2007, the twelve tracks debuted and a new genre, New York Lounge Funk was born.
