Estatuas de Sol (Sun Statues) is a group with a long musical career, formed in 1992 by founder Alfonso Crespo. Over the years since its founding pass various components until the group is stabilized with the current lineup in 1996 with Zigor Lopez as guitarist and keyboardist-vocalist Fernando Martín.
In 2003 he joined voices in support of Sonia Martin. Since then his style and sound quality are purified through improved teamwork and sound studios of its components. During this time the group played their live in the festivities in Colmenar Viejo (Madrid), Villatobas (Toledo) Bolaños de Calatrava (Ciudad Real), Blanes (Girona),
Estatuas de Sol also released their own international collections of synthpop on Synphony Records (USA), Pink Gorilla Records (USA) and A Different Drum (USA) In 2003 the band self-released their first official album “Changing Times.” The album is very well accepted in USA, Mexico and Peru.
Zigor and Sonia left the band shortly before the release of the latest album “Landscapes & Portraits” which was edited and released in December 2007.This time with songs in English and sound very refined and targeted to international audiences. |
