Every Avenue formed in 2003 and self-released two EP’s in 2004 and 2006 before signing to the Southern California label, Fearless Records, in 2007, who released their acclaimed EP AH!. In February 2008, the band released its debut full length, Shh… Just Go With It and watched it rise to #27 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. The record’s first single, “Where Were You?” received play on Yahoo Radio and AOL Radio and was also featured on “MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet”, gaining more than 150,000 downloads on Mark Hoppus’ “Hi My Name Is Mark” blog on I-Tunes. The video also won MTVU’s The Freshman. With their second album Picture Perfect, Every Avenue is set to take things to a new level. The band bounced in and out of studios throughout much of the winter and spring working hard on the LP, produced Mitch Allan (Jonas Brothers, Faith Hill) and Mike Green (Paramore, The Higher, Set Your Goals). “We spent all of our down time in L.A. writing and recording,” remembers guitarist Jimmie Deeghan. “It was a long process. Any time we had off it seemed we were flying some place to record. The experience was rough, great, awful, amazing, stressful, and rewarding all rolled into one.” The highly anticipated follow up to Shh… Just Go With It, the album contains 11 euphoric, huge-sounding tracks, showcasing the band’s ability to diversify their hooks. Picture Perfect offers a much wider variety of songs than their debut, ranging from mid-tempo jams to fun sing-a-longs to radio-ready hits. ”We are really happy with the way the album came out,” said guitarist Joshua Randall. “We were able to try a lot of things that we have always wanted to try.” The excited and accomplished vibe radiating from the band reverberates on every track of Picture Perfect, which will hit stores in November 2009 courtesy of Fearless Records. When asked about the future and what it means for the band, Jimmie simply says, “We’d rather be touring and playing music than anything else.” Fans can expect to see that excitement reflected in every single second of any Every Avenue performance. Spending nearly 300 days a year on the road, including appearances at the Vans Warped Tour, the band has completed tours with such acts as All Time Low, Mayday Parade, The Maine, The Audition, Boys Like Girls, and Metro Station. The remainder of 2009 will find the band on tour with Hey Monday in the United Kingdom, before heading back for a full U.S. tour with The White Tie Affair, and a big support slot scheduled for the start of 2010. For Every Avenue, the journey is just beginning. A fun approach to music that is fresh and unique, a dedicated fan base, a strong and supportive label, and a new record that will have people singing along from start to finish is just the tip of the iceberg when talking about the band that CampusCircle.net calls “pure rock n’ roll joy.” With so much already done and so much left to do, the band clearly says it best: “Hopes and dreams and memories, you cant take away from me.” Check Out Every Avenue’s Websites.|www.myspace.com/everyavenue|www.facebook.com/everyavenue|www.buzznet.com/everyavenue|www.purevolume.com/everyavenue|www.ilike.com/artist/Every+Avenue |
