www.fictionist.com|Fictionist is a rock band from Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sacramento, California. The band is made up of Stuart Maxfield (lead vocals, guitar), Robbie Connolly (backing vocals, guitar), Jacob Jones (keys), Brandon Kitterman (backing vocals, guitar, toys), Spencer Harrison (backing vocals, bass), and Aaron Anderson (drums). Fictionist began as the brain child of band leader Stuart Maxfield. The band was originally called Maxfield after the last name of the creator. After a band of the same name was discovered the band name was changed to Good Morning Maxfield. GMM the band then released a self titled album followed by an EP in 2007 and early 2008 respectively. As their sound grew and developed, though, they realized they couldn’t keep the name and remain true to their work. Soon Fictionist was born in the autumn of 2008 as the band changed their name to keep up with their ever expanding body of work. Fictionist released their debut album Invisible Hand in early 2009. The band played during the first part of 2009 then went back into the creative process and then the studio again in late 2009. In January of 2010 Fictionist released their second full-length album, Lasting Echo, to acclaim both domestic and international as the band toured the United States and Canada. In an April 2010 review, Paste Magazine called Lasting Echo “shimmering” and “anthemic”. The band is currently writing and releasing new music on a regular basis as they continue to tour the western US. They keep in touch with individual fans through Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and MySpace. |
