The Freestyle Professors are a hip-hop duo hailing from the Forest Projects in the South Bronx of New York City, NY. The members include J. Brown AKA Branesparker AKA “The Soul Clown” and Gregory Gifford Freeman AKA Giff AKA Gee Money. The group formed in 1992 with Don Q and Foxx, and dropped their first EP in 1994. Their EP gained much popularity in Europe and Japan, particularly because of the Showbiz produced track “Down With The Freestyle Professors.” 12 years later they released the album Your Pockets Been Picked, intended for Branesparker to begin releasing some of his 100 unreleased produced tracks. |
