Gilles Luka a French singer and songwriter born on April 30th, 1977. |He began his career in 2001 with the group OCEAN DRIVE with their hit single “So I Begin” selling in over 27 countries. While in OCEAN DRIVE he produced successful songs such as “Some People (Ton désir)” “Without You (Perdue sans toi)” “Because (Connected-toi)” and “With the Sunshine” which were all chart toppers. The group unveiled “Whatever (Encore et Encore)” which will accompany the their upcoming album in late 2012.
Lukas also has established a solo career since releasing the album 80:08 in 2008 and most recent sophomore solo album Ice Ensemble released in 2011.
Gilles Luka also has lent his voice and melodies to renowned DJs like DJ Assad with his single “See U Again,” and with Mathieu Bouthier “Before you go.” The songwriter is also known for his collaborations with artists around the world. He produced the album for Nâdiya “Electron Libre,” French Murray Head “Nothing is written,” a remix of “Lonely Lisa” for Mylène Farmer with his partner Romain Curtis.|He has also produced for film music and TV.
