1. Czech Republic’s Gnu already exist for 15 years. They play unique sounding music with a cohesive drive and memorable song structure, at least that is what Maximum Rock N’ Roll magazine already wrote years ago. I think a band using two bass guitars has to sound somehow unique. Dianogah anyone?! It’s pretty hard to define how Gnu exactly sound. I’ll try it anyway. First off it’s rock music, really powerful and hard hitting. It could have been released by Amphetamine Reptile or Touch & Go as well. Bands like Girls Against Boys, Cop Shoot Cop, Helmet and Shellac come to mind. Lyrics are sung in czech but the band invite fans to contact them for English translations of their lyrics.
