Grupo Límite, also just Límite, is a Mexican ranchera band and was led by singer Alicia Villarreal until she left to be a solo singer. The band debuted in 1996 with the record, Por Puro Amor, which sold over a million copies. The album featured singles such as “Vete”, “Quiero”, and “Te Aprovechas.” Other subsequent albums were successful. Grupo Limite’s type of music is Mexicano Regional. When Alicia Villarreal left the group to go solo, the type of music she did afterward is called Ranchera. They were a Tejano group.
