Around those times DJ’s like Sasha, Carl Cox, Pete Tong and Paul Oakenfold] were the main source of inspiration for HEADSTRONG.|Don had always been a guitarist and songwriter in Indie bands up until then touring the country on a regular basis. It wasnt until visiting clubs like ‘The Eclipse’ in Coventry and and various clubs in leeds that he became totally hooked on the dance Scene. After experimenting with synths and an atari computer in a makeshift bedroom studio Don soon got into the vibe of a good tune and entered a ‘comp’ on TV on BBC2. His track reached the final 3 out of hundreds of thousands of entries. The final was judged by Pete Tong. After a huge American record deal fell through Don decided to take time out and tour with a band again writing and playing guitar. |5 years later he was blown away by the trance scene with oakenfold and Matt Darey pressing all the right buttons.
