Heine has had several large appearances over the last months, among them the official TV show celebrating Norway’s 100 years anniversary in 2005, he performed in Angola, the outdoor 100th anniversary celebration of Hydro in Oslo, August 2005, and at the Royal Castle. Heine released his first solo album in November 2005, “Tough Times for Gentlemen” (SonyBMG), shooting straight into the Norwegian pop charts. The album will be released in Germany this fall. Together with a bouquet of the best songwriters in the country (Hans Petter Aaserud, Silje Nergaard, Geir Luedy, Sigurd Køhn etc), he has composed ten original songs. The album is produced by Geir Luedy and Hans Petter Aaserud. In connection with the release of “Tough Times for Gentlemen”, there was a number of appearances in two of the largest broadcasting television corporations in Norway, NRK and TV2, e.g. at the big Sports Gala. Heine also fronted the big band in all the live shows in “Strictly Come Dancing” at TV2. This season will see Heine touring with his own band, giving five concerts at May Jazz in Stavanger, performing with Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, touring with a Band and his “Tough Times for Gentlemen” repertoire. He will also play the lead part as the American in Chess, sharing the stage with Jamie Cullum in Arendal with Arendal Big Band, and do the opening concert at Hell Music Festival. At the end of August he will also perform at one of the biggest TV shows in Norway, Momarkedet, at NRK.| |
