Stefan after years of developing his vocal tone with Placebo sang the English versions. As the music was coming together, Stefan and David also kept themselves busy as ‘Hotel Persona DJ’, being invited to deejay around Europe, hitting the fashion capitals of Milan, Paris, London, Barcelona, Athens… They have also completed remixes for She Wants Revenge and rock heavyweight’s Queens Of The Stone Age. Tie this all in with an obsession with online social networking and you have a very active wide ranging fan base worldwide. Their debut album “In The Clouds” is a co-production with Fabien Waltmann (programming and remix work for U2, Madonna and No Doubt), |it was recorded and mixed in London, Madrid and New York (2005-2007). There is a wide array of additional vocals from the likes of Brian Molko (Placebo), Samantha Fox and Miguel Bosé and it is a trip through the mind and moods of the band in the years it took to finally reach fruition. —- Hotel Persona is the versatile project under the hands of Stefan Olsdal, David Amen and Javier Solo.|This proyect has emerged in a progressive and eclectic way, sporadically composing songs, doing performances and dj sets for friends, mixing different musical styles, and with the only purpose of joining fun with creativity in the relax moments of Stefan’s busy life with Placebo and the day by day of David and Javi. These years of intermittent though constant activity have been the ones which have been consolidating the concept of what now is Hotel Persona. Their debut album ‘In the Clouds’ is about to be released and the band is already doing their first shows and keeping their philosophy of fun, nightlife and playing with different musical and artistic styles that have no place usually in their daily routine.
