Jeb Cook is tagged as: under 2000 listeners, solo, male vocalist Jeb Cook drew first blood in the mid 90’s Boston Hardcore scene. When most teens were sporting flannels in homage to their fallen deity Kurt Cobain, Jeb was pounding pavement sharing the stage with Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall predecessors Overcast and Blood Has Been Shed. Eventually escaping with a full set of teeth and his guitar, Jeb landed in Colorado and under the tutelage of six-string great Jamie Mclean (The Dirty Dozen Brass Band). Compelled to branch from his rowdy musical roots, Jeb versed himself in a variety of genres such as Jazz, Delta Blues, Electronica and Funk while based in the Centennial State. Leaving soil and pines behind for palm and concrete, Jeb set up in Los Angeles in 2002. He balanced his time learning recording from mentor Christopher Currell, best known for his work on Michael Jackson’s Bad album, while also crafting songs for his Hollywood headlining act, One Winter Left. He cut teeth in the L.A. rock scene with this band, maturing his sound to the earnest, neo-alternative rock that is the spine of Jeb’s current solo debut.
