By 13 she was performing her own compositions at the legendary Caffe Lena Open Mic Night in Saratoga Springs, NY. Jes headed into the studio to record her first album, ‘In There Somewhere,’ which was released in the spring of 1997 into the anxiously awaiting hands of her fellow ninth graders. After a brief stint at Umass/Amherst, Jes felt the itch to get away from books and theory, and to get back into the studio. Returning to Saratoga, she recorded her second album, ‘Tiny Dream,’ released in the spring of 2002. In the few years since, Jes has appeared as a top contestant on both CBS Rockstar: Inxs and Fox’s American Idol. She toured with Enrique Iglesias as the sole female backup singer for the Central American leg of his Insomniac 2008 tour, including performances at the isle of MTV in Malta, and the closing ceremony of the Eurocup 2008 in Vienna, Austria.
