Jessica’s passion for singing surfaced early. Her kindergarten teacher was shocked when Jessica tapped her on the shoulder one day, burst into song, and ran off to play. Her vocals stood out even then and her mother was encouraged to enroll Jessica in voice lessons. She began her formal voice training at age 5 with classical and musical theater pieces. Since then, the petite singer has been involved in many musical activities. She began her theatrical experience at the age of 7 playing the role of Gretl in “The Sound of Music,” and found that not only did she have a passion for singing, but that she loved acting as well. As the years passed, Jessica participated in many shows, with one of her favorites being the role of Mary Lennox in “The Secret Garden.” In 2005, Jessica earned a Certificate in Musical Theater from Stagedoor Manor, a prestigious acting camp in New York. Jamison Rotz (www.lambentmedia.com) and Jessica worked together to cut her first demo in September 2005. The songs from the CD quickly became very popular and went on to win numerous awards. One of the songs was featured in an indie film. Jessica has evolved as an artist, creating and collaborating on new music with many talented producers, musicians, and songwriters. She uses her vocal talents to help the community as often as she can, ranging from entertaining military troops to performances in local shows that have helped raise thousands of dollars for the public school system. In her free time, Jessica enjoys going to the beach, reading, writing, shopping, listening to music, and watching movies. |
