Kamran Jafari (Persian: کامران جعفری, born November 25, 1974 in Tehran, Iran) and Hooman Jafari (also is written Houman, Persian:هومن جعفری, born November 23, 1979 in Tehran, Iran) are two brothers and singers residing and working in Woodland Hills, California.Less than a year after The Pop Father album, Kamran & Hooman decided to sell-out Black Cats and start their own careers in pursuit of Selling Their Identity. S Kamran & Hooman have made an effort to bring much more exciting and modern concerts to the Persian music industry. A quite dramatic patriotic rage for Iranians both living in Iran and those living abroad was caused by Jafari brothers’ interview with Jennifer Scholle[1] of VirtuPoint.TV, when they announced that they are ‘Canadian’ artists instead of ‘Iranian.’ This arguable concealment of nationality caused a permanent negative impact on their careers. |While this denouncement hurt many Iranians as considering them a ‘shame’ to their homeland, many others started to subsidized their decision by rationalizing the interview and its possible commercial impacts.
