1) Members: Park Gyuri (Leader), Han Seungyeon, Jung Nicole, Kang Jiyoung, Koo Hara KARA (카라) is a popular girl group from South Korea. Their musical style is K-pop, R&B, dance. They’ve been active since 2007 and have released 1 album with former member Kim Sunghee, along with an album and 3 mini-albums with new members Koo Hara and Kang Jiyoung. Their single, “Honey”, became their first #1 when it topped the M.Net M Countdown. The song also won the Mutizen award on SBS’s 인기가요 (“Popular Songs”) program. It was revealed in June that the group would return in late July 2009, with their concept to be “upgraded”. The first teaser pictures of the group were then released in mid-July, showing radical changes in the group’s style. Their single “Wanna” was released on July 28, 2009. The song quickly charted on various digital music charts. The music video was released on July 29, and their full album, “Revolution”, on the 30th. 2) Kara is a Finnish metal/rock band formed in 2002. They were originally called Ankara, but they had to change their name because there was another Finnish band with the same name. The band split-up in 2009. |
