Kid Whatever is the DJ/Producer alias of Portland based artist Pete Ellison. He was raised on a steady diet of booty bass rap, freestyle records, and ghetto house mixtapes. Being from the Northwest, he has taken the “Anything Goes” mantra from the punk/DIY style and applied to his own productions. He has spent countless hours assembling, selling & distributing his music on tapes, CD-R and 7” vinyl. As a producer he chooses not to embrace expensive equipment and software. Instead, he makes everything on his cheap, minimal home PC setup and refuses to discuss his production methods. |
