Kiko (born 5 October 1985 in Cádiz) is a former of the group Los Caños, formed by him and his friends, Javi and Juande Cadiz. They participated in game shows and parades of the Carnival of Cádiz. Soon after, they decided to form a group and record their first demo. Their participation in a program of Canal Sur, where the label Pep’s Records, gave them a chance and started recording their first album, which sold to 500,000 copies and received Amigo Award as Breakthrough Artist. The group eventually disbanded in 2005 and in 2006, Kiko, following a proposal he decided to form a duo with her sister Shara.| |Shara (born on June 14, 1987 in Cadiz) also the alike as his brother, where she began participating in the carnival. In 2005 she recorded her first demo with the help of Ismael Moya which includes three songs. After listening to it, Pep’s Records offered a recording contract alone, but after she returned to deliver a second material to the record company, she included a duet song with her brother, Kiko. After hearing the demo, decide what they really want is a pair, would be called Kiko & Shara.| |Following these events, Kiko and Ismael Moya began to compose the songs for the first album. The production of the album was until March 2006 under the supervision of producer Alejo Stivel. On May 22, 2006, the self-titled first album, Kiko Y Shara was released, along with the video the first single, Puede Ser. After a month, Kiko & Shara break the radio records, becoming one of the most Fiesta channel radio, and debuting at No. 40 on the list AFYVE. They were also performing various promotions in all types - newspapers, magazines, radio and television, both national and regional level. Thanks to the song “Tras Los Libros” of their first CD, Kiko & Shara has helped many children and adolescents overcome bullying.| |In 2007, after a success first album and touring different parts of Spain, Kiko & Shara started with the recording of their second album in Madrid. The album, “Una De Dos contains 12 songs written entirely by Kiko, Shara and Ismael Moya, except the song “Adolescentes” (by José Alfonso Lorca), which was the first single to be released. The elemements of southern spirit from the first album still remains in the second album, with touches of flamenco. In addition to elaborate rhythmic themes,element of rumba was also mixed, with reggae and flamenco fusion. On May 29, 2007, after a year of launching the first album, goes on sale the second album by this duo. A week later, the album manages to enter at number 1 on the list of sales, thus ousting Miguel Bosé and is already certified by Gold Disk On October 26, 2007. On March 31, 2009, their third album, “En El Aire was released, and went straight to 3. The first single was “Y Yo Queria.” In June 2009, they released their second single with a video, “Yo Soy De Mi”. In late 2009, they announced their separation. To say goodbye, they recorded a CD of a concert titled “Adiós, Gracias” and went on sale on March 9, 2010, which includes new songs. They also toured to thank all their fans for their support during their three years as a duo. |
