With a sound that lingers between Ingrid Michaelson, Jewel and Sara Bareilles, DiVine has perfected her musical skills through live performance and the release of three albums, including the most recent, Square One (available on iTunes). Millions of people across America have heard DiVine’s voice featured in several commercials for Jell-O, which hit the airwaves in May of 2010. This summer, she appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” during the segment “Meal or No Meal,” in which she sang a song - that she learned in grade school - containing the first and last names of all the U.S. Presidents. Two of DiVine’s songs, “Blue Skies” and “Letting Go” were featured in an episode of MTV’s “The Real World: New Orleans.” Other honors include: “Easy On Me” was one of three finalists for the 2010 John Lennon Songwriting Contest (pop category), as well as a semi-finalist in the 2010 International Songwriting Competition and is currently nominated in the Pop category for the 2011 Hollywood Music in Media Awards. Kim was in Billboard’s World Song Contest Top 500 for “Trouble,” Indie In-Tune’s Singer/Songwriter of the Year, and a Semi-finalist for Discmaker’s International World Series. Kim has also performed The National Anthem at an LA Dodgers baseball game, LA Clippers basketball game, Chicago Bulls basketball game and from the floor of Madison Square Garden during a NY Knicks basketball game. A native of Massachusetts, DiVine moved to the west coast in 2004 to pursue her musical career and spent three years immersing herself in the San Diego music scene. While there she was awarded Best Female Singer/Songwriter and Best Female Vocalist in the HAT (Honoring Acoustic Talent) Awards in 2006. DiVine launched “Bedroom Sessions” in 2006, a video blog in which she keeps her fans informed by talking directly to them, experimenting with new songs, showing her artwork and gushing about her dog, Ella. The blog has been featured on the front page of YouTube and has received over 2 million hits. Upon moving to Los Angeles in 2007, DiVine starred in the music-infused web series, “Kim and Seana,” sponsored by Ford Motors, in which the two toured the U.S. She has since been making a name for herself by appearing in a variety of LA’s most notable music venues where she performs her original material in a solo acoustic, trio and full band setting. When not crafting new songs, DiVine enjoys playing the piano, painting, designing jewelry, and hiking in the hills of Los Angeles with her dog.
