1) Kontakt is an alias of American Producer Nik Kanter born and raised in New York City in the early ’80s. His music is performed live on an all hardware set up using a computer only for post production and recording. A wholly experimental project which began in 2000 and continues to this day, Kontakt is more of a musical concept than dance music. It fits to no genre mostly and is very experimental, which fits right in along side his fellow producers on Army Collective Records, which he founded in 2005. Kontakt’s sounds are drawn from techno and psychedelic styles, with a mixing of breakbeats and mainstream trance now and then. The music continues to evolve in to hopefully a new style of dance experimental. Kontakt’s other projects include Spazmulach, The BDC, Blaz Blazso, and FL-3. |2) There is also another Kontakt one hit wonder from Easter Europe who produced the song Show Me A Sign and did a few remixes in the early 2000’s. 3) A russian duo.The group is made up of a boy and a girl (Slava and Masha).Kontakt has existed since early 2007.
