1) The band Korea have changed it’s name to The Korea, please, change your tags and suggest a correction to The Korea!! The Korea is a russian band from St.Petersburg mixing different styles of heavy music such as metalcore / alternative metal. The band was formed in spring of 2003 in St.Petersburg. Since that moment Korea at once has carved its own niche in the musical environment as an extraordinary and original band. Experimenting with music and its styles band immediately draw attention, as an interesting product, each time emphasizing its own uniqueness. In 2004 they’ve released “DEMO”. In the spring of 2005 Korea recorded the debut album under the name “On the broken wings” (“На сломанных крыльях”)(“Na slomannyh kryliah”). The record has received good responses not only from listeners, but also from colleagues of musicians. Little bit later band shoots the debut video on a song “Polusa”. In the summer of 2007 Korea starts recording of the second album under the name “Pulse” (“Пульс”). Work on mix and mastering of the album passed in Danish studio “Smart ’ n ’ Hand studio”, under attentive control of Jacob Bredahl. Soon they found Robert Bunke (bass) to complete the band.|In 2003 the American producer Blake Althen contacted the band and together they produced a self titled EP. The band started to play the clubs of Stockholm and southern Sweden during the next couple of years.|Due to different views of the future sound of korea, the band parted ways with Blake Althen in 2005.|In 2006 the band begun to shape a new heavy sound which reached the attention of Vici Solum productions that signed the band in 2008.|koreas new sound can be described as a journey in different music styles with a Swedish melancholic spine. In essence, a beautiful array of harmonies and melodies, combined with a heavy rhythmic section, all tighted together with silky smooth vocals.|Influences can be traced to acts like Carpark North, Radiohead, A Perfect Circle, Tool, NIN and Depeche Mode.|All song writing is done collectively, where every member contributes and further develops presented ideas.
