They began collaborating over the internet on a track Chris wrote for Dexy called “Kiss Me Dead” and then flew to Los Angeles to help her pack up her old Mercedes Benz for a trip across the country. Magic Wands have spent the last six months in Nashville, NYC and Los Angeles writing & recording the tracks that will make up their debut album. Recently they’ve been on a US tour with the Black Kids and the Virgins. In the last year they have supported The Raconteurs,The Breeders,The Black Keys and played Lollapalooza and toured the UK. The duo have recently picked up a drummer and and will be releasing their EP through Young and Lost in the UK and Bright Antenna in the US sometime in May 2009.
