Magna Canta refers to two bands, firstly a modern band who seamlessly blends traditional gregorian chants with modern electronic music, creating mystic and relaxing compositions.|Secondly to a band of the 70s who blended folk and rock, most famous for their track ‘Lord of the Ages’ and the album of the same name. They are still writing and touring though with a significantly altered line up and much more stripped down, folk sound.|Sorry, the 70s band was called Magna Carta, as in the document signed by King John in England in 1215.|Magna Canta means big songs, magna carta means big charter. |
