Magtens Korridorer have existed in the danish underground for many years, but with their album “Friværdi” They have finally made it into the mainstream. They did, though, have a big cult hit “Hestevise” in the radioshow “Tæskeholdet” in the late nineties. They play old-school rock’n’roll, inspired by bands like Gasolin’, but clearly with punk roots as well. This they combine with refreshing unpretentious and satirical lyrics about everyday life. Frontman Johan G. Olsen is also a professor in biology at Københavns Universitet. The band opened the Roskilde Festival at the orange scene in 2006. The bands central members since the start are|Johan G. Olsen (vocal) and Rasmus Kern (guitar). Offical website www.magtenskorridorer.dk. |
