Mauro Scocco is a Swedish singer, songwriter and producer born in September 11th, 1962 in Stockholm. Scocco was the singer and central figure in pop group Ratata between 1980 and 1989 and has since then been a popular and successfull solo artist.| |Among his most recognized hits are “Sarah”, “Vem är han?”, “Till de ensamma” and “Nelly”. Besides being a solo artist he also write and produced music for singers as Lisa Nilsson, Peter Jöback, jazz legend Monica Zetterlund and rock group Eldkvarn.
In 1991 Scocco, inspired by Erik Satie and expressionistic art, released an album with instrumental piano music called “Det sjungande trädet”. |
